A Testimony of Healing, Obedience, and Faith

Discover a powerful testimony of physical healing through worship and obedience. Learn how faith, prayer, and the worship flag ministry became the doorway to restoration and wholeness.

The Evidence

August 16, 2013

X-ray imaging revealed posterior rotation of my left pelvic bone, creating the appearance of an incomplete or misaligned pelvis on that side. This structural abnormality caused significant nerve compression and chronic pain.

The Reality I Lived With

For years, my body was in constant warfare.

Because my left pelvic bone was twisted backward, my muscles pressed relentlessly against my nerves. I walked with a limp. I could not raise my left arm. My arm and hand were cold as ice—almost as if they were dead. Even with prescribed muscle relaxers, my muscles would not relax.

I lived in excruciating pain twenty-four hours a day. There was no relief.

Lying on my back was impossible. The pain was so severe that I had to sleep on my right side, propping my left arm up just to get through the night. Every morning, getting out of bed was a challenge. I had to roll off the bed just to stand. This was no way to live.

I could not stand for more than ten minutes before my left leg began to ache, and I would cry out in pain. Even taking a shower became a daily battle—something that should have been simple took forever and drained every ounce of my strength.

Walking was both painful and embarrassing. When I stood up, I had to rock back and forth just to get my bearing—just to take one step and get my legs cooperate with my brain.

This was my daily reality.

These are simple—basic—things we often take for granted in life until they are taken from us.

After enduring this for years, doctors ordered another MRI. I had already had one years earlier for the same issue. Once again, the MRI detected nothing. The doctors could see all the signs that something was wrong, but the scans could not explain my condition. I was prescribed muscle relaxers, but they did absolutely nothing.

For seven long years, the muscles in my shoulders stayed contracted—hard as rocks. I used heating pads so often for relief that my skin began to peel, and eventually I had to stop using them altogether.

Desperate for relief, I decided to see a chiropractor. I went twice a week for several months. The relief was only temporary—lasting a few hours—but when you have lived in constant pain for seven years, even a few hours of relief are welcome.

Eventually, my chiropractor discovered what was wrong through X-rays and pressure-point testing. The X-ray revealed that my pelvis was twisted on the left side. The image looked as if I had only half a pelvis on that side.

The MRIs I had undergone—twice—never detected this. Nothing ever explained my condition.

But I now understand that everything happens in God’s timing.

And you will see why as you continue reading my testimony.

The Vision

One day, as I sat quietly meditating on the Lord, God showed me a vision.

In the vision, I saw myself waving flags.

At the time, I was teaching in children’s ministry, and I initially thought the vision was connected to that. But as it became clearer, I realized the Lord was calling me into worship flag ministry.

I said to God, “If You want me to do this, You are going to have to heal me.”

Out of obedience, I constructed my first set of worship flags.

After I finished them, I tried to use them—but the pain was horrific. I could not lift my left arm at all.

So I tried again.

The Moment Everything Changed

As I began to worship, I began to pray in the Spirit.

My tongues began to change.

And suddenly, something shifted in the spirit.

My arm began to rise.

Glory to God!

In that very moment, God gave me a supernatural healing.

Oh my God—what a glorious time I had, praising and worshiping the Lord right there in my room. This was something I had not been able to do for years. I had not danced in worship. I had not lifted my hands.

But this time, not only was I dancing, but I was also dancing with uplifted hands, waving the banners as a sign of victory.

This was not a partial healing.

This was not a temporary healing.

This was a total, complete healing, nothing missing and nothing lacking.

What was twisted was made straight. What was bound was loosed. What was painful was restored.

Nine Years Later

Today, I am still holding on to my healing.

It has been nine years since God healed me, and I remain whole.

I went on to make more worship flags, learning the meaning of each color and what they represent in the Kingdom of God.

My healing is connected to my worship. This is why I continue to wave the banner in the house of the Lord.

It does not matter that some do not believe in worship flag ministry.

What matters is that I believed God when He showed me the vision.

I believed His Word.

I believed I could be healed.

My obedience was the doorway.

My worship was the release.

As I began watching others on YouTube to learn proper flag techniques, the Holy Spirit told me to stop. He told me that He would teach me, and that I would not need to learn from anyone else.

To this day, I never practice.

I let the Holy Spirit lead me.

And sometimes, I am truly amazed and overwhelmed with joy at His leading.

So when you see me waving my flags, understand this:

They are not just fabric.

They are evidence.

Evidence that God still heals.

Evidence that God still restores.

Evidence that true worship is not practiced—it is Spirit-led.

Evidence that God still honors faith expressed through obedience.

This is my testimony.
